When a little painting feels BIG!

Painting takes a lot of discipline. It's easy to run willy-nilly in a moment from idea to idea. It takes energy to remain focused. But every once in a while the call of sirens draws us to distant shores that seem to hold the mist of promise. 

And so it has been these last weeks as I have stayed focused and diligent to painting a fun commission opportunity I have heard the call. Unable to hold out any longer, I gave in..."just a little painting" I said. BUT it feels SO  BIG: a new subject, a new idea, new risk. Oh those sirens...just waiting for me to crash on their shores. The battle begins.
