A Little Something
I've been down and out with the flu since Newton open Studios but I wanted to get something posted before I leave for Italy next week. I'll be returning on June 16th and I'm sure there will be much to post about on my return.
Above is the marathon cup studies I did before Newton Open Studios. Though I didn't get the chance to show them all together yet, I can show them all together here. It was a real challenge to come up with all the combinations of colors as well as to distill the colors down to the most basic color choice to express. That's why I came them my simplicity studies. Happily, I found out that one of my previous a cup studies was accepted at the Danforth Museum Show, The Community of Artists.
